Last summer, I traveled to New York City for the first time. It was an incredible experience because I had always dreamed of visiting the “Big Apple.” When I arrived, the city was full of life: yellow taxis were everywhere, people were walking fast on the sidewalks, and the tall skyscrapers made me feel so small.
On my first day, I went to Central Park. It was huge, green, and peaceful, even though the city outside was noisy. I walked for hours, took pictures, and even had a hot dog from a street vendor. Later, I visited Times Square. The bright lights and giant screens made the place look like daytime, even at night.
The next day, I took the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. It was amazing to see such a famous symbol of freedom so close. I also went to the top of the Empire State Building. From there, the view of the city was unforgettable.
Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying New York pizza. It was delicious, with a thin crust and a lot of cheese. I also ate a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, which is very popular in the city.
After five days, it was time to go back home. I felt tired but very happy. Visiting New York City was one of the best trips of my life, and I hope I can return one day to explore even more.
